Buses :
There is now a bus service on the island, but pinning down a timetable may prove difficult.

Communications:
Telephones, mobile phones and email are all available on the islands.

Crime:
There is little or no crime.

Currency:
The currency is the Bahamian Dollar and the US Dollar. Both are widely used and are equal in value. All major credit cards are accepted.

Customs:
Upon arriving everyone must fill out and sign an Immigration form, keeping a portion of the card in hand until departing.

Driving:
They drive on the left hand side of the road.

Language:
The main language is English.

Population:
Approximately 3,600 people reside on the Exumas.

Postcards:
50¢ stamp is required for the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

Taxis:
Taxis do run on the island but can be expensive, so a hire car is the best form of transport.
